      by Wynn Free

When one tries to understand things in the mind, it's always just an approximation. Perhaps a good analogy is a computer. We hit a little icon and magic happens. A program opens up processing millions of bits of data at lightning speed. We don't understand how it works , we just know it works. And maybe that's the way the mind accesses God or the infinite. We make an icon in the mind and we invoke the icon and suddenly this message is delivered to the universe at large. Later something happens and we realize that the universe got the message, programmed itself and created an effect or manifestation in our life. Like the icon on the computer, we don't understand how it works but when the program opens up, we accept that it did work and we don't have to understand how.

So the icons the mind uses are things like "Jesus", "God", "send the light", "medicine bag", "cross" etc. We can all use different icons, but the program is the same, the universe gets the signal and delivers back as long as there's no static. Emotions like doubt, fear, selfishness, greed, etc look like static to the universe and block the connection. Emotions like gratitude, faith, selflessness, and compassion might be like low resistant conduits and create a clear highway for the Universe to work it's magic.

Two people can assume a meeting in the Universe beyond the physical, so when they think of the other there's an immediate feeling of love experienced. I believe that this is a signal that they actually have communed beyond the physical and their souls are intertwined. Once they can access this at any given moment just by contemplating on the other, they now have entered into the zone of the "beloved". Their energetic fields expand and it becomes infectious to others in physical proximity. Others join in on the energy because it's what everyone really wants to experience. Unless of course they don't, at which time they make judgments and block the experience of allowing themselves to be lifted. But it can't be logically understand. And as soon as the mind engages itself to attempt to enforce a logical explanation, the experience stops and the person enters into the experience of isolation and separation.

If one doesn't really understand how it works, one will think that the icon itself has the power. And then we have separative type interactions, like my icon is better than yours or mine is the only real one. We can see how this has lead to feelings of superiority and persecution by various religious factions. But if one can develop a good set of icons and understands that they are just tools, one can learn to access this universal energy on demand and share the loving space with those who choose to participate of their own free will. And ultimately, when one can perceive everything in one's life as a symbol or icon which connects them back to the source, one will have entered into the realm of "living love" and the Christ Consciousness and we can understand the true meaning of Jesus’ words when he said "As you do it to the smallest of these, you do it to me."
